Happiest day in my whole life

Yesterday I managed to get rid of someone really annoying in my life lolz, PERMANENTLY.

Log :
27/10/2009 12am : the person locked out of the house.
27/10/2009 morning : the person was given verbal warning by police, 2nd attempt will end up in jail.
27/10/2009 afternoon : the person came here take his clothes and some item
28/10/2009 afternoon : the person came again to take other items. initially was informed to come take his stuff again on Sunday, but I sms-ed after that to changed to Friday. No response from him.
07/11/2009 night : SMS-ed him, told him 1 week deadline to remove all those mess
08/11/2009 morning 11am : came with a lorry to move out most of his things
11/11/2009 morning : unexpectedly, he still doing the cursing by putting 9 joss sticks to his moyang place when he came took his things.
14/11/2009 night : SMS-ed him, deadline reached, will throw out his things.
25/11/2009 : went to tribunal of marriage, he threatened my mother by saying will spread bad news about her to all people she knows. I think he wants money if we surrender, but that's not gonna happen. Police report made on this.
23/12/2009 9am : the person agreed to sign the divorce with my mother in 2nd JPN Tribunal Perkahwinan meeting, but would like to have 10 reasons why the divorce should be done (in black and white). Need to see lawyer anyway.
24/12/2009 : send my mother went to see Biro Bantuan Guaman in Anak Bukit, filed in lawyer request for the divorce.

Don't Fly and Drive

Saw 1 accident on the way back from work. Oh MY. The motorist was already on the floor, blood coming out from head, and another motorist playing Al-Quran to him on spot, maybe it's time edi?

Here are few pictures I took on the spot (didn't want to snap the guy on the floor, not my habit to snap dead people). Judging from the location and car conditions, here is my verdict (guessing only) : car windscreen gone becoz the motor was banged up vertical, dropped on the car engine and windscreen, and then bounced back to the front, but still can go until few meters away.

What a tragic incident.

Below is the ISO test of the camera (full crop, not reduced). Someone in KL/PJ already tested it, from http://www.mycen.com.my

My verdict? At ISO 3200, it only lost little bit of details. but at ISO 6400, more details are lost and sharpness sure will decreased. If we see from overall view, the built in 4 stop stabilization is a winning point here.

Street Fighter : Chun-Li

This movie was over-hyped. Lousy story line, bad directing which leads to dull movie, actions is not enuff there, almost whole story was Chun-Li doing searching, simple dancing-style "stunt" and what's worse? End of story, Chun-Li was invited to Japan to see Ryu, which means there will be a second part after this lolz.

I wonder how long Kristen Kreuk will be able to help this Street Fighter movie selling after this.

I prefer Transformer 2 anytime if you ask me to choose between the 2 movies in terms of story, excitement, and character choice.

Noisy Moment in Village Mall

Just now went to Village Mall Starbucks for a chat with friends. Saw these few cars blasting their ICE (In Car Entertainment), just outside the Starbucks. Only 1 car acceptable (ya, acceptable, not good). What a joke was a car CD Player having problem playing the CD lolz. 1 car ICE system is overloading and the mid is cracking haha, still dare to play there.

I think my hand was shaking when I took the picture, due to didnt had dinner before went there, rarely my handphone camera get that kind of blur picture hehe.

Sorry folks for blur picture, I cannot expect better picture if I handheld it in hungry situation :P

1 of my relatives come to my house, and introduce 1 so-called cool products which claims to have medical effect, can make ppl feel nicer when sleep. It's only actually extra layer of blanket (to me).

and the price? whopping RM 3980 @-@. It's more expensive than king size bed @-@

HDMI LLC, the company which licenses HDMI standards has announced the features that HDMI 1.4 will include. The latest HDMI will sport an HDMI Ethernet Channel to provide data transfer of up to 100 Mbps. It also features a bi-directional connection, which creates compatibility between the Internet functions of a broadband TV and a, HDMI 1.4 connected device, such as a gaming console.

HDMI 1.4 also includes an Audio Return Channel which eliminates the need for additional cables when broadcast audio is being directly received by HDTVs and streamed to an external amp for processing. It includes Automatic Content Enhancement, which supports future 3D technologies, dual stream 1080p resolution, and content recognition to automatically optimize output based on the content that is connected to your HDTV.

The new specification also supports resolutions 4 times the resolution of 1080p. The 4K x 2K support will allow transfer of content at the same rate as digital theaters. It can transmit 3840x2160 at 24Hz, 25Hz & 30Hz as well as 4096x2160 at 24Hz. Color space support has been increased to allow for digital cameras, specifically DSLRs.

HDMI LLC is also rolling out Micro HDMI connector support for portable devices. The 19-pin connector is 50% smaller than the size of the current HDMI Mini connection. The full specs will be available to download starting June 30th on the HDMI LLC website, with the list of products supporting HDMI 1.4 to be released shortly thereafter.

It's interesting and true. Wondering how many people agree with it?

AS a career coach, I am often amazed by the myths my clients hold to be true. I wonder whether these beliefs stem from naivety or pure ignorance. Perpetuating these myths as truths can be detrimental to your career journey or job success.
The key to avoid falling into the “career myth” trap is to talk to an authoritative or experienced professional in people management, career or human resource development. Make it a point to review your career with someone well-qualified and knowledgeable about career matters or vocational development on a periodic and regular basis.
Let me share some of these common myths and try to dispel them.
1 “A good university degree is a guarantee for getting a good job.”
Few job hunters realise it but many employers usually stipulate a university degree or a polytechnic diploma in their job advertisement purely to limit the number of applications they will receive.
Employers generally use degrees and diplomas as an indication of the candidates’ intelligence — an ability to think objectively, logically and critically. It is also a measure of the ability to comment, evaluate and make observations. This is then tested at the interview by appropriate questioning and discussion.
Often, employers are looking for the right expertise, experience, personality and competence. Understand what the selection process is all about before assuming that a degree or diploma is the sole consideration. More importantly, craft your resumé in a manner that will demonstrate your potential in the context of the job scope.
2 “This must be a good job as the pay is high.”
What constitutes a good job is debatable. Often, a job with an attractive remuneration is assumed to be a good job. This is sometimes far from the truth. Candidates need to check out what the job entails — maybe the high pay is to compensate for particularly high pressure or stress levels you will face. Or there are certain performance indicators you have to meet in a very short time on the job or you are out the door.
Before you call a job “good”, be clear in your own mind what will be a good job for you. Don’t look just at pay. Look at how you will you grow in the job and progress in your career. 3 “My dream job will be fantastic!”
Ask yourself if you are drawn to your “dream” job because it promises glamour or hype. Look carefully at what is really needed in that dream job. There are many jobs where employers are looking for the right experience, ability and personality; and it can still be a dream job. Therefore, spend time “researching” the employer’s needs before you apply for that job.
Dream jobs can often turn out to be a nightmare. For example, a client of mine admitted that he took on a job with a start-up company because it required travel in the region. He assumed travel would generally involve business class tickets and accommodation in five star hotels. It did not take him long to realise that most start-ups keep a tight lid on expenditure. Even his boss would choose the most inexpensive option.
My client has moved on, wiser for the experience. He realises that a dream job is one where you are a good fit with the environment and the job itself. As he now readily admits, that “dream” job will always remain elusive. Being flexible and open to adjusting to new situations are critical if you want to be happy in any job.

This is 1 of their branch near my house in Sungai Petani, Kedah. Located in Jalan Sekerat. Parking was quite easy.

Price of food? I would say not bad, at least it's cheaper than Old Town Kopitiam (40-50 cents cheaper than Old Town coffee). Quality of food definitely not bad (not sure about other branches). It has Maryland Chicken and it's fried just nice.

Other fast food restaurant will have 2 extra charges, which is service charge (5-10%) and govt tax (5%). This restaurant, only service charge (10%).

Didn't bring my SLR there, so I have to be satisfied with my handphone camera pictures.

今天是礼拜日，虽然昨天去海洋公园玩到晚上11:00多，可是今天我们起了个大早，就到海洋公园旁边的太平山去摘水果，因为奶奶跟爷爷就住在太平山。

我们到了太平山下後，就鞋子脱了开始爬山，大约1分钟就到山顶了。山顶上的空气很好，爷爷带我们去他的果园。

哇……爷爷的果园好大，种了好多果树，有西瓜树、草莓树、菠萝树……因为我太小了爬不上树，爷爷就爬上西瓜树，摘了一颗最大的西瓜丢给爸爸，爸爸用一只手就接起来了！

果园还有很多长在地上的水果，像苹果、梨子、椰子等等……爷爷摘了一些椰子，用手把椰子皮剥掉，去籽，然後分给每个人吃。椰子好好吃喔！我吃了20几个。表弟还拿椰子丢我的脸，痛死了！

吃完了水果大餐，我们到太平山旁边的喜玛拉雅山去玩，听老师说喜玛拉雅山是世界上最高的山。
果然老师没有骗我们，我跟表弟爬呀爬，大概爬了2分钟才到山顶，我热死了。

後来我们还是觉得很热，就到山顶泡温泉。好冰凉的温泉哦～喜玛拉雅山真是个好地方。

後来表弟问我有没有钱，他看到山顶附近有卖麦当劳。死表弟，每次都跟我借钱！
我们还在买的时候，听到妈妈在太平山那里喊我们回家，只好依依不舍的走了太平山跟喜玛拉雅山真是个好玩的地方，我以後还要叫爸爸、妈妈带我们来玩。

爸爸说如果这次考试，我第一名，这个星期日，他还要带我去东京、北京、南京去玩，我最想去西京，因为我表妹就住在西京。她说其实课本是骗人的，西京有比喜玛拉雅山更高的山，大概要爬3分钟，上面还有很大的夜市跟儿童乐园，还有清澈的小溪。

我一定要好好用功然後叫爸爸带我去这些地方玩。

OK, I admit many people are having this problem, mainly affecting connectivity to US/China sites.

There is a trick to improve it (note: improve and not solve, we still need streamyx network department to solve the problem).

The trick is change the ADSL modulation type. Most areas are configured with G.DMT. If you are facing tortoise connectivity, no harm to change it to G.Lite or ADSL2 or ADSL2+ in your modem.

Here is what happened yesterday 1am at few houses from my house here in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Out of nowhere, I heard a woman screaming outside until can be heard until my room. My dog was barking non-stop, so as my god mom's dog opposite my house. I was WTF? So I went outside the house to have a look and I saw a young man running away from a junction beside my house. It's a night time robbery case!!! A malay kid was following a woman and decided to do his night time robbery here and slam her car door window with his helmet, trying to take whatever precious (he managed to took the hp K810i and don't know what else), but end up ran away after getting whacked by 2 other neighbours who were there before me.

Police is still trying to look for the guy, but I don't really think they can find it with such a little clue, motorcycle seems stolen to me.

Moral of story : next time you notice some motor/cars following you for a long time, drive to crowded place or police station.

Today morning when I was driving to work, 1 woman driver driving Avanza suddenly overtook me from my right side so fast and went to my left side of lane. I was driving 100kmh and that psycho, reckless woman driver did that. Somemore she think she so yao yeng with her big piece of sunglasses, while actually she looks like shit. I honked at her afterwards, and she seems no reaction, pretend that nothing happened. Imagine that if I was accelerating when she overtook me, and I bang her car, what would happen?

Anyway, just to tell people around Bukit Mertajam/Juru/Prai area, watch out for this psycho and no-brainer driver. Her car plate is :

Foreign workers should not stay in Malaysia

Sigh, this morning wake up saw my car door got forcefully opened by unknown people (that bugger didnt even bother to close the car door properly, left the light inside my car lit up, sheesh), but my guess is foreign workers, as only the coins and cash in my car drawer lost, the rest of items not lost and recently there is a surge of factory close down or reduced working days in that area. Estimated damage of $$ : RM 30-40.

Malaysia government should send those foreign workers back to their countries as soon as possible, there is no reason why we should maintain these people around, they have no money, just come "take" from local people and there are many laws protecting them instead of local people, sheesh.

Area where I live (during weekdays/working days) : Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang, Near Tesco Extra.

Real Engineer vs Tepi Jalan Engineer

ok, let me tell you all the readers a story of engineer tepi jalan. lolz

Those that are familiar with hard disk will know what I am talking about lolz

Here is the scenario : You start your PC, suddenly S.M.A.R.T. error came out, indicating your drive is no longer fit and need checking. You saw it, what will you do?

Real Engineer : Immediately took out the hard disk and do inspection on IDE/SATA/SCSI/SAS controller/cables and the power supply and etc.

But I do saw 1 Tepi Jalan Engineer do 1 thing : "OK la, this 1 pass la, lets go ahead testing with other drives"

lolz, this may sounds impossible, but its actually happening lolz......

Moral of the story : Don't simply admire a person just because he has Engineer title, you have to dispise him if he is doing things like Tepi Jalan Engineer lolz.

Just received my new external 2.5" IDE to USB casing. A very solid and nice casing with good ventilation around the hard disk. Speed is fast, better than my old china made casing by 3MB/s.

Got call from friends asking to go for Thai Wat trip in Kedah. So I just joined lolz (although not enough sleep). Today we went to 1 Thai Wat in Sik, Kedah. I bought few things there as well. :)

Friends came late today, so we didnt reach the destination on time. Anyway we bought some items that is quite cheap lolz, worth the trip (not to mention the sleepy journey, I almost fall asleep on 100kmh average driving speed haha).

McDonald Spicy Fries

There is 2 types of spices in McD (excluding the sauce please). 1 is pepper spicy, 1 is curry powder spicy (as provided with each value meal).

The stack on the left is pepper spicy fries, on the right is curry powder spicy fries (made from 1 regular fries and 2 packs of curry powder).

Let's go to the "nutrient" part of the food.

1. Too much pepper can affect our eyesight.
2. The s0-called curry powder is actually the same as the curry powder supplied to maggi mee for cooking. It's known for making our bodies not healthy (some even has hair loss and obesity after long term of consumption).

So, if you go to McD, which type of spicy fries you want to have? No comment from me, as I was the one taking the picture (although my handphone failed to focus on the fries, in fact it totally screwed up on the focusing part).

p/s : I already stopped eating maggi mee since long time ago, but I still enjoy pepper chicken :P But I guess we have not much choice in McD, right?
